Will former work in the porn industry affect future employment?

I'm currently a high school senior, but I've already made some rough choices. When I turned eighteen the lure of the money and acceptance led me to agree to be in a few gay pornographic films. I've always had really good grades and have wanted to be a surgeon all my life, and now I don't know if my history in gay porn will affect my ability to get accepted to college, grad school, or become a doctor at all. I worked under a different name and everything, but I don't know if background checks and colleges or universities and employment offices can still trace my involvement in the porn industry. Is honesty the best approach in this case? I've tried finding information about all this but I never get straight answers about how my involvement could damage my credibility. The only thing I've heard of is teachers who lose their jobs because of their former involvement in porn, but I haven't heard anything really relating to what I want to do. Does anybody have experience with this or know anyone who does? I know it's never gonna go away on the internet, but I at least want to still be able to go into my dream job! Help or reassurance anyone?
